What is HS Business Management?
We spend time examining your work/business processes and advise in which areas, we believe, electronic document management would benefit your business by enabling you to work more efficiently. We also consider your risk factor with regard to Business Continuity should a disaster occur which caused loss of or damage to your business.
How long does it take to do this?
It depends on the size of the organisation and how many departments and personnel are involved. From experience, it can take anything from one to three days.
What do we need to do prior to your visit?
Ideally, we like to have a program for the day which sets out a timetable of meetings with key personnel such as team leaders or line managers. We supply questionnaire templates in advance to allow staff to prepare the relevant information we require for each session. We then discuss their areas of responsibility and how tasks are currently performed. We also need to do some ‘floor walking’ in order to experience, first hand, individuals’ activities, particularly the way paperwork and filing is handled.
What happens after your visit?
We put together a report of our findings and our recommendations for any changes in the way you work. This would highlight the areas where some form of Document Management such as storing documents electronically, Workflow or Form Recognition would be of benefit. There are cases, however, when simple off site storage would be a more financially viable solution and would also mitigate your risk factor. We like to think we are entirely honest in our assessment and always advise on the most practical solution.
